Prayer:  Donna:  Dear Father thank you for this time.  Thank you for this New Year.  We always have high hopes when a New Year begins.  Thank you for The Urantia Book and for the teachers and the Teaching Mission.  Thank you for JarEl.  Please help our eyes and ears and our hearts be open to hear the truth that he can bring to us as we strive to come to know you better Father.  In Michael’s name, Amen.   

JarEl: TR, George:  Good evening.  It is I, your teacher JarEl.  (Welcome)  It is good to be back again.  I welcome all of you and I welcome those who are here for the first time.

It is crucial that at this moment in your history you continue to remain hopeful and strong.  Life is changing all around you.  The currents seem to sweep the ground below you and many of you are losing your footing and are lost and unable to move.  Some of you do not know in which direction to head or which is the safest place to step towards, as they all seem very dangerous, very wrong and very dark.  But I assure you that the changes that are coming are better.  A clear day will arrive for this is your darkest moment.  

You are that light, that eternal glow that leads the children of this planet towards a better future.  You are their hope and messengers of goodwill.  Every single one of you in this room and those that will later read all of this know fully well that what happens here on this planet in your lives is but transient, it is temporary.  It is something that passes and is no more.  For what awaits you is eternal life, a future, a destiny, a hope of majesty.  So it is up to you, a person who knows this, to assure those with fear and doubt that life will improve, that things will get better.  And you will not be lying to them for this is no lie.  This is the truth, a truth for all eternity.  And things do get better even in a temporary way people’s lives improve; children become adults, immaturity turns to maturity and people find ways to improve their lives even if it’s a temporary improvement here on this planet.  

But that is not what I mean about things getting better.  I am not concerned with the temporal material improvement of your lives.  It is of no consequence to your soul nor towards my soul.  My goal is to improve your eternal lives, your spiritual lives, and in that respect, things will get better.  Your life will find meaning and if you begin now to search for this meaning, this hopefulness, it will reflect here on this planet in your lives and in the lives of those that you love.  This improvement is not only spiritual for one of the byproducts is that your entire life improves.  So in your search for spirituality, everything around you reflects that improvement, including the material.  That is not to say that you will be materially wealthy, but you will be relatively comfortable.  You will, however, be spiritually wealthy for the riches that await you in the spiritual realm are abundant and those that seek shall find.  And all is given freely in this universe.  There are many spiritual beings that are waiting to give you this wealth freely.  They look forward to the day that you will ask for it.  But you have to be ready.  You have to be willing to accept these gifts.  You have to be open to this energy.  And you have to love, not only yourself, but others, for these gifts that will freely be given to you, you must also freely give to others.  

Spiritual wealth is at hand, it is but a reach away.  You are all capable of achieving this wealth, this abundance of energy, of life.  It is within your grasp.  All that is necessary is your willingness to reach out.  Choose to crawl out of that spiritual poverty that plagues your lives, choose to reach up into heaven and to find God reaching down towards you.  Always will you find God’s hand ready to grasp your own for he is that Eternal Father that loves his children.  He loves you and reaches down towards you as you reach up.  But first you must reach my friends.  First you must instigate this activity of finding God, of finding truth, of finding yourself.  It is by your own curiosity that you get the wheels moving in this spiritual machine.

And as the years or centuries go by, you will find that the complexity of finding God is more intricate at each turn.  But what underlies all of this is the sheer simplicity that to love God is to love yourself and to love others.  It is a vast road my friends, I kid you not, it is very complex, but it is worth it for all that you will ever learn shall make you that much better.  The life that you lead now, this earthly life, is just the beginning, a simple beginning, one that you will surely forget.  But the things that you will learn, the truths that you will value, will be much more meaningful in your eternal life.  That is not to say that this life that you lead now is not valuable.  But there are so many mysteries that abound your existence.  Many of you still do not know much of how the universe works.  Many Urantians are still in spiritual darkness and have yet to begin their commencement of the soul.

Some of you have begun this journey and are well on your way, but that is not true for everyone.  There are many setbacks to overcome.  And as you will find for your own lives, despite your advanced knowledge of the Urantia papers, you will find that you must help those with much deficiency, that you must help your brethren from Urantia, those that have survived.  You must help them move forward into the coming stages so that they may join you as you advance forward in the morontia worlds.  And this will be very challenging for you.  For you will be faced with the actual task of convincing others of the truth of the universe, a task that many of you have neglected here on this planet.  But nonetheless, it will happen.  Either way, you will face this challenge.

Michael:  Hi JarEl, I’m Michael.  My question is how do we learn morontia mota while we are on earth?

JarEl:  TR, George:  There are some examples of the morontia mota in The Urantia Book and you can definitely read those.  But for you to apply it to your own life, you must first comprehend it by analyzing the idea and concept that is before you.  Then with your own mind and your own intelligence, which you definitely have, figure out a way to apply it to your own life.  There are many opportunities that exist in your life to apply morontia mota.  It is simply your willingness to move forward with that concept.  Once you have succeeded in the challenge of completing one of the motas, move on to the next.  You will find that when you request an opportunity for a certain type of lesson, that opportunity will be presented to you by the universe.  A word of caution – be careful what you ask for because you might just get it.
