ABRAHAM & MARY

WOODS CROSS GROUP

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I am so inspired by your faithfulness. As I look out upon the world at Father’s children, I am amazed that they hold on with such faith. Belief systems of mortals may be somewhat skewed, but the fact that they want to believe in something greater than themselves is something to rejoice over. I am always intrigued by your discussions, or the latest controversy.

Those ideas that drive individuals to go within to seek greater meaning is always a cause for soul growth. Upset or element of disturbance, is opportunity to let go of what you think you know to ask Father for what He knows. There is always natural tendency to become emotional during times of upset and it is difficult to reach the spirit. Become accustomed to the idea that all things take time and there is always some process to learn. Even the Master had to reconcile His mind to the spirit. There was time allowed for emotions to pass, for stress to leave the mind and body, for acceptance to become one with the personal will.

It does seem like Urantia has become a disposable society. Everything must be instant and convenient. Rarely is there time taken to simply be, to simply enjoy life, to simply allow time with the Father. Worry not about emotions and how they may present themselves. Allow them to disperse and pass. Allow that reconciliation of mind and acceptance to sink into the soul. It is true; emotions are a part of everyday life. It is completely natural to display them. It is Godlike to begin to master them. Have not worry. You each are learning to have some control.

I am MARY. Again, I am filled with love to be within your family circle. I am very familiar with Abraham’s topic. I do remember emotions were quite difficult for me to get hold of. I believe I was a person of action. I sincerely desired to fix any and all problems. It was difficult for me to go slow, allow the process of reconciliation. It was hard for me to be grateful for tasks completed. It seemed that I could never do enough. It was the Master’s wisdom and humor that helped me to stop and take time to allow emotions to pass so I could see logic and feel the spirit within begin to give direction.

Jesus recommended that at least one hour every day and one day a week we spend time in play or recreation. It was such rejuvenation for the mind and spirit. This rejuvenation made it much easier to cope with the circumstances of everyday life. It is okay to play, laugh, have fun. It is a doorway to the spirit. It is an opening to true worship.

This week we are recommending that you each find this time to get away. Rejuvenate your spirit and mind. When circumstances of life become overwhelming, remember reconciliation of mind takes time, as does allowing the passing of emotions. Do not bottle them up. Do not feed into them with self-pity. Simply give them to Father. Ask for guidance. You are not alone. You have all that you need.

That is all. Discuss among yourselves whether or not you will be needing to have questions next week. We are always willing to have open dialogue with you, our precious friends. Our love goes with you. Until next time, shalom.
