Gabriel To Arrive August 21, 1992]6/9/92
Good Evening. I am Bertrand. I am your teacher. It is a pleasure, once again, to be in your company, to be with you children of time; to teach you of both things great and small; to converse with you; to, hopefully, answer your questions. But first there are a few announcements. As Veronica has told you, from our meeting on Saturday, Prince Machiventa spoke to Rayson's group indicating the arrival of Gabriel on August 21st.
It is our intent that you participate with your other brothers and sisters at a gathering to remember Jesus's birth. At that gathering, Gabriel, the Bright and Morning Star, will attend. I am not at liberty (at this time) to tell you what his messages will contain. But, I assure you, he will be present. We understand his intention to visit each of the teaching groups throughout the world. He has visited here on numerous occasions so I would caution you in becoming overly excited; though it will be a memorable event.
This evening I will give a short lesson on the Father's love. As we evolutionary creatures traverse time and space, it is God's love that surrounds us at all times. He loves us when we have our triumphs; He loves us when we have our failures; He loves us at all times. His love never fails, never falters, is always accessible, is always true. We are never, ever without. But it is this love, and the passing of this love through each of His children spread wide and far, to those that they meet that allows the outworking of God the Supreme. Love is active, it is not passive. It is dynamic, it is not hidden under a basket. It is one of those interesting points that it is something that is only obtained by giving it away.
A study of Jesus and his life will reveal the Father's love in the methods and the ways in which he was able to express that love to not only his earth family, to his apostles, to the children, to the throngs and even to those who condemned him and put him to death. It can truly be said, Jesus loved every man. A study of his life will give us that human counterpart of the Father's love and how that love can be passed through and given to others.
God's love is so boundlessly infinite, so unfathomably infinite, that it is scarcely possible for you, or I, to be able to adequately express it. Parent's love for their families, man's love for his brother and sister, man's love of country, of planet, of the universe, of Universe Sovereign, is only a tiny description of the boundless love of the Father. When you reach Paradise, and you most assuredly will, you will feel that love, physically, in your spiritual bodies. It will envelope you, will caress you, it will give you joy and it will give you peace. So carry the Father's love with you everyday. Keep it in your heart. But, by all means, don't lock it there.
Pass it on with a smile; pass it on with a nod of the head; pass it on with a laugh; pass it on with any human way that lets you acknowledge that God is in everyone you meet, and you indeed are passing that love directly back to Him. That is all of my lesson for this evening. It is a process that we are learning to do. [The T/R] is working very hard at it and we don't want to try anything too difficult until he is settled with his own doubts of what he is doing. Do you have questions?
[Bertrand Tells of His Mortal Life]6/9/92
STUDENT: Bertrand, I just love what the room feels like when you come in here. I would like to get to know you and I feel a need to know a little bit about your personal life. I was wondering if you could tell us a little bit about yourself. Like: where did you originate; did you have a family; what was your occupation; and what do you do with your time when you are not here?
BERTRAND:
To answer those wonderful questions reminds me of my life as a mortal of the realm. Yes, I had a family. Yes, I had children. I worked in a profession that would be similar to your Civil Engineer on my home world. I now reside here on Urantia. For a time to come I will call it my home. It is truly a pleasure to have this opportunity to be with you and amongst you and also get to know you. Some things I will not be able to tell you because we are forbidden to. Others I will be able to tell you. Does that answer your question?
STUDENT: You told us that you were a Civil Engineer in the equivalent to your earthly life. What was your job on Edentia before you volunteered for the Teaching Mission?
BERTRAND:
I believe that [the TR] made an error. I have come here from Salvington. I was studying to be a teacher of mortals, a carrier of the universe message of love and light; to help your planet return to the fold and to help prepare it for the eventuality of a Trinity Teacher Son and their mission to come and carry your lowly world on into . . . Light and Life. It is truly a great honor for me to be chosen for this position and I am humbled by your ready acceptance of my teachings, and the teachings of other teachers who you are aware of. It is very heartening for us to receive such fertile soil from which to grow mighty trees.
STUDENT:
Bertrand, do you have a wife or did you have a wife? And could you tell us what her name is?
BERTRAND:
Yes, I did have a wife. Unfortunately, I have no word to be able to translate that into English. It is a word that would resemble the song of a bird.
STUDENT:
The song of a bird?
BERTRAND:
Yes.

STUDENT:
Yes. Thank you. I have another question. ------ and I and our children are going to be going on vacation Thursday and will be gone for a while, for I think about 12 days, and so we won't be having a meeting next week. But we've heard that the Mariposa Grove in Yosemite is the spiritual center of Urantia. . . . .
BERTRAND:
Many things transpire in that area. As I've listened to you chat at other times, you are aware that the archangel circuit is there. You also are aware that it is the spiritual center, or perhaps I should say headquarters. It is a very powerful area from a geologic sense because of the formations of the mountains being crystalline and they greatly aid in many of the, I don't have the word for it, jobs that are conducted from this planet. If you are quiet and you are still and you seek that quiet space in your mind there is the possibility of feeling and knowing the presence while you are there. It is nothing special or nothing more that what you would do sitting here. You just must seek that Stillness and listen and quiet your mind and you most likely will feel the presence of the spiritual beings who surround that area.
STUDENT:
There was mention on one of the previous tapes of Manitoba as being the spiritual headquarters of the planet. Was that a mistake in Rebecca's translation or is that in fact also a spiritual headquarters?
BERTRAND:
It was an error. Yes.
[Space Broadcasts & Seraphic Transports Focalize at Mariposa Grove]6/9/92
STUDENT:
I have several questions, but one was brought to mind. I guess we all have had a curiosity to where a disembarking, if that's the right word, station might be on, if there is one in fact in our state, embarking and disembarking. Could you possibly enlighten us on that...is there any such station in California?
BERTRAND:
You are referring to seraphic transports?
STUDENT:
Yes, I am.
BERTRAND:
Yes. In the area of Mariposa Grove that does take place as well as incoming space broadcasts. But of course, incoming space broadcasts are everywhere. That is a focalization.
[Wherever World Leaders Assemble There Is Spiritual Involvement]6/9/92
STUDENT:
Bertrand, I was having a conversation with a close friend of ours who is very interested in attending our meetings after July when her life settles down and her name is _____, and she wanted me to ask you a question. Within the next few days there will be a conference in Rio regarding the ecological problems of Urantia and many heads of government will be attending. And she was wondering, was there spiritual help in putting this conference together?
BERTRAND:
Whenever world leaders assemble on this planet there is spiritual involvement. The spiritual..the planetary government, the unseen planetary government is most interested in peace and harmony amongst the peoples. Yes, there was, and continues to be, much spiritual activity surrounding that meeting. But spiritual activity, as you well know, will not influence the freewill choice of the participants. They must act as they feel their countries wish them to act.
[Personality Is Bestowed At Birth]6/9/92
STUDENT:
Bertrand, this might be my longest question and probably the shortest answer. One of the great social issues of this day which has caused much polarization in our country has to do with the issue of abortion. Although I am aware you cannot advise us on the social political issue as well as the subject of capital punishment. I'd like to know at what stage is the embryo considered a child of the universe. When is this entity considered a human being? Is it at birth when personality is bestowed? Or before birth?
BERTRAND:
Personality is bestowed at birth and at that point the child is registered on the universe registry. More than that I am unable to say. Nor, unfortunately, am I able to give you any direction. This is a earthly problem that must be dealt with in an earthly manner. It is a struggle of evolution. It is a struggle of culture. And we are forbidden to involve ourselves in those issues, sometimes, painful as they may seem. I am sorry.
STUDENT:
It's my understanding that the Lucifer Rebellion has been adjudicated and that the universe broadcasts are coming through since we are no longer in quarantine. Am I correct in that?
BERTRAND:
That is true.
[Space Broadcasts Hard To Hear for Humans]6/9/92
STUDENT:
If that being the case, how do we attune ourselves in order to receive the universe broadcasts?
BERTRAND:
The universe broadcasts come in on a spiritual frequency that is very difficult for the human mind to receive. As you become more attuned spiritually you will begin to glimpse them. Now that having been said, I will also say that your indwelling spark of God, your Father fragment, your Thought Adjuster, can and does receive those space broadcasts regularly. There is no blockage in his ability to discern them. There are two paths to becoming cognizant of those broadcasts. One is your soul's growth toward its spiritual nature, the second is an attunement to your Thought Adjuster. And as they progress together, the opportunities for you to begin to discern the space broadcasts will increase. Occasionally, when the circumstances warrant it, with certain celestial help, mortals have been made to hear and to understand the space broadcasts. But those instances are rare.
STUDENT: Given that we live in the same time zone as the spiritual center where they come in, if we were especially vigilant in meditating or attempting to communicate with our Thought Adjusters at 12:00 noon, would that increase our possibility of catching a glimpse of it or a feeling of it more than other times? I mean is 12:00 a real symbolic time to tune in to it?
BERTRAND:
It is the customary time. The fact that those broadcasts are universally available in no way makes your proximity to the spiritual center of the planet any more important. What is important is that you know that its 12:00 here and its 12:00 there. That may help you.
[Genetic Memory Discussion]6/9/92
STUDENT:
Thank you. One other question referring to my question of last week. Has anymore information been received, has been received on genetic memory?
BERTRAND:
As man has evolved from his animal state up until the point that he actually became human, and from that point on, because we have the ability to be affected by our environment over the millions years the genes that you have inherited have a minute portion of the genes of most of humanity. And when I speak of genetic memory it is that part of the family tree that you carry with you, you have in you all of mankind that has proceeded you. And in your children you give all of mankind to them and they carry that seed on into the future. That is the genetic memory I speak of. I believe that, correct me if I am wrong, I believe that what you are referring to is your friend who is a believer in reincarnation and probably more likely, since your Thought Adjuster is infinite they have the ability to receive an infinite amount of information and an infinite amount of knowledge and it may be, although I would have to know her personally...it may be that this is the source of her belief in reincarnation. Does that help?
STUDENT:
That helps very much. Thank you. So an individual, if I understand what you're saying, will get a sense of what they would call a past life through the Thought Adjuster circuit.
BERTRAND:
Perhaps.
STUDENT:
Okay. By what mechanism are they able to visualize this to a point that it seems to be a real life experience to that particular individual?
BERTRAND:
It perhaps can begin with a mere glimpse of something that is presented to them by their Thought Adjuster and at that point their conscious mind takes that information and embellishes upon it. I can see that as a possibility. It is most likely a conscious mind function more than Adjuster input.
[Government Leaders & the Most Highs]
STUDENT:
[Question about] Anwar Sadat and Mikail Gorbachev. She was wondering if they had any special spiritual help in governing their respective countries.
BERTRAND:
It can be said that those men in power, who wield large influence within their respective countries, are helped and guided as are all other leaders. It is one of the ways in which the Most Highs rule in the realm of man. . . .
[More Complex Lessons Will Have To Wait for TR Improvement]6/9/92
STUDENT:
Would it be more beneficial for us to know the lesson a week in advance so we could be more prepared to ask questions in accordance with your lesson plan?
BERTRAND:
It is my intent to eventually work to that position. [This TR] is a good learner. He listens carefully, but as you know, errors do occur. The more difficult lessons must await his improvement. Secondly, that is the plan to let you know ahead of time and then perhaps suggest readings. . . .
[Your Brother Functions on The Mansion Worlds]6/9/92
STUDENT:
Bertrand, for many years something has been running through my mind. My brother died about 9 years ago. He was not a reader of The Urantia Book, although he had one. He was a very, very spiritual person and he was well known throughout Northern California. . . . Anyhow, my question is, when he died, after reading The Urantia Book, I always had the feeling that he was a person who would have risen on the third day. I don't know if there is anyway that you let me know this, or has there been a dispensational resurrection that perhaps has occurred. I'd like to know if he is functioning on the mansion worlds?
BERTRAND:
I am allowed to tell you that he is functioning on the mansion worlds.
STUDENT:

He is aware of our mission.
STUDENT:
Can you convey our love to him?
BERTRAND:
Yes, indeed I will.

Can you tell us anything more about what he's doing, Bertrand?
BERTRAND:
Unfortunately, no I cannot.

STUDENT:
Can we ask, do you pray for us? And can we ask you please always to pray for us. Not just under specific situations, and all the teachers, please have them put us in their prayers always...forever.
BERTRAND:
You can rest assured that all the teachers, all the planetary supervisors, Prince Machiventa and Jesus all pray for all of you who are involved in this mission, and your wondrous abilities to believe without seeing. We truly admire that capacity. And for this evening I am going to bid you farewell.
